“‘Django guitar, windy street swing; music for both art directors and for your mother’ is how MOVITS! describe their sound. Well-known in Sweden, but unheard of elsewhere, they fold together elements of 1930’s big band swing, roma swing and rhythm & blues, then drop hiphop vocals on top for some serious energetic firepower. The ability to seamlessly interweave a number of genres reminds me of The Cat Empire, but while MOVITS! could relax on their catchy beats, they expertly drop variations that’ll keep you smiling throughout the song.”

Some people live closely guarded lives, fearful of encountering someone or something that might shatter their insecure spiritual foundation. This attitude, however, is not the fault of religion but of their own limited understanding. True Dharma leads in exactly the opposite direction. It enables one to integrate all the many diverse experiences of life into a meaningful and coherent whole, thereby banishing fear and insecurity completely.

The main reason Buddhism is so interesting is because it takes followers on a journey. It isn’t stagnant; one doesn’t just memorize thirty or forty beliefs and then puke them out whenever the need arises. The Buddha never claimed to be a god, he just claimed to be enlightened. I heard a pastor on Easter sunday say that because the bones of buddha are still on earth it takes away all levity to the religion, but this isn’t so! The Buddha was a man who was able to achieve something in this human body, which I think is far more impressive than a man who already is a god performing miracles. No disrespect, Christians.
