The main reason Buddhism is so interesting is because it takes followers on a journey. It isn’t stagnant; one doesn’t just memorize thirty or forty beliefs and then puke them out whenever the need arises. The Buddha never claimed to be a god, he just claimed to be enlightened. I heard a pastor on Easter sunday say that because the bones of buddha are still on earth it takes away all levity to the religion, but this isn’t so! The Buddha was a man who was able to achieve something in this human body, which I think is far more impressive than a man who already is a god performing miracles. No disrespect, Christians.

Overlooking that Charles Bukowski is my current obsession, Post Office is a good book and would remain as such if it were written by someone else. It shows a real-life, nitty-gritty, ballsy account of a real-life, nitty-gritty, ballsy working man. Complete with its fair share of drinking, fucking, and gambling, it will leave readers always wanting more. I feel like I’m writing a god damned sales pitch.
